College and Financial Aid Expo

College and Financial Aid ExpoMore than 20 Illinois colleges and universities, as well as numerous financial organizations will be on hand at the Plainfield Township Youth Committee’s sixth annual College and Financial Aid Expo.

The free event is open to all District 202 students and their families. It will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 in the cafeteria at Plainfield High School—Central Campus, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive in Plainfield.

The event is presented in conjunction with District 202. The Plainfield Township Youth Committee will provide refreshments.

Colleges and universities including Joliet Junior College, North Central College, Eastern Illinois University and University of Illinois-Chicago will share information with students and families.

As well, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, Plainfield Foundation for Excellence, and Plainfield Township will provide financial aid and scholarship information.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will also provide information and guidance about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.

Everyone attending will be entered into a raffle to win an IPad Mini (one entry per family.)
